Field Scientist (Crop Protection)
Minimum of 2-3 year work experience necessary for legislation reasons
Location: Gödöllő

• Purpose of the role

  Manage plant protection trial activities in all crops and in all disciplines. This includes field selection, plant protection
  product application, assessment, harvesting and reporting according to standards.

  Main accountabilities are
  - Trial owner, responsible for execution of Crop Protection development and registration trials.
  - As Trial Leader for GEP trials: Manage Efficacy Trials for registration purposes in his competence area according to EPPO guidelines and SOPs (GEP standards).
  - Manages the relationship with farmer; does all the necessary field work , including selection of location (following guidance from project owner, placement within field, application, maintenance and harvest)
  - Ensures and does assessments, according to protocol requirements and following the relevant EPPO guidelines and keep the agreed deadlines
  - Validates results and give recommendations / insights on performance of tested products and solutions at single trial level
  - Organize internal trial visits
  - Follow HSE practices and standard procedures
  - Follow-up of external trials and on the ground interaction with CROs
  - Working together and lead Trialing Technicians
  - Consulted by and point of contact for regional, global partners
  - Drive integration, standardization and transformation of ways of working
  - Spread expertise through training and drive sharing of best practices
  - Contribute to establish KPIs
  
  Expected experiences and skills
  - Master degree in agronomy and plant protection
  - Technical knowledge: agronomy, trialing, specific training in crop protection (GEP trials)
  - Solid crop management knowledge
  - Physical/health aptitude for field and plant protection work
  - Computer skills (Data collection software’s, data systems and Microsoft Office user)
  - Good knowledge of the agribusiness market and trends in the area of responsibility
  - Good data analysis, reporting, communication and presentation capability
  - Excellent planning and organization skills
  - Great team-player and ability to work independently
  - Analytical thinking
  - Native Hungarian is a must
  - Advanced English is necessary

  Primarily location: Gödöllő but applications are accepted from all over Hungary
